- AreaFix is a program which automatically turns Echo feeds on and off for
- remote boards and points.
-
- To use AreaFix, send a message in the following form:
-
- Address it to: AreaFix
- Subject: Password -Q -L
-
- The password is assigned to you by the sysop. If you do not have a
- password, send a private message to the sysop requesting one. Passwords
- are case sensitive -- don't type ALL CAPS if your password is in CAPS
- and lower case. You can use three switches in the message subject line
- after the password:
-
- -Q sends a list of available Echoes
- -L sends that same list with short descriptions of the Echoes (if the
- sysop has written the text file)
- ? brings this message
-
- The body of the message consists of the names of Echoes. If you
- precede a name with a minus sign, it will be deleted from your Echo
- feed. If you precede it with a plus or nothing, it will be added. The
- following message deletes POODLES and adds BULLDOGS and TERRIERS.
-
- -POODLES
- BULLDOGS
- +TERRIERS
-
- If the sysop has issued you a keyword, enter it on the first line of the
- message after the word Key: as in the following example:
-
- Key: MyKeyWord
- -POODLES
- BULLDOGS
- +TERRIERS
-
- AreaFix will respond to messages with confirmation of its actions.
